We have employed JVS Stonemasonry Principal, Jason Simpson to undertake all the stonework at Willinga Park. When we commenced the job, we thought the critical issue for timely completion was the stone masonry. However, Jason and his team out-performed all the other contactors ahead of schedule which freed up the other trades to facilitate their timely completion.

Jason is a rare find, a real craftsman. His stonework is truly amazing, he has a wonderful sense of aesthetic and we have found that when we present a problem to him he solves it with his beautiful walls and stonework.

Willinga Park recently won The W Hayward Morris Award for Interior Architecture and The Romaldo Giurgola Award for Public Architecture at the Australian Capital Territory Architecture Awards 2017 and was also awarded Project of the Year at the Australian Master Builders Association ACT Chapter Awards.
Jason quotes fair rates and sticks to them, but his biggest contribution has been problem solving and assisting landscapers and architects in producing the wonderful Willinga Park equestrian facility.

JVS Stonemasonry created amazing rock walls and rock steps when we re-landscaped our garden, he used rock that we had here on our farm.  Jason’s professionalism in all aspects of his business is outstanding. He is honest and reliable and we would certainly recommend Jason.

After searching for a suitable stonemason to build driveway stone pillars and clad an existing garden wall at our home in Canberra, we contacted JVS Stonemasonry.

We had been very impressed with the portfolio of their previous work, which included both large commercial and small domestic jobs. JVS were extremely diligent in inspecting the site and actively working with us to decide on building materials, finishes, dimensions and suitable foundations. They referred us to previous jobs they had done around Canberra so we could inspect their work, and they were very patient in educating us as to the pros and cons of different sorts of stone for different applications.

They were prompt, responsive, extremely friendly and provided a clear and detailed quote. Once work commenced, the JVS crew delivered materials, commenced work and finished the job on time and on budget.

They worked full-time on the job until it was completed, and at all times they took a great deal of care to keep the worksite clean and to avoid damaging the garden and driveway. They were also very careful to do a proper and thorough clean up of the site once work was completed. The JVS crew were very personable and professional, and the quality of their workmanship and materials is absolutely unparalleled.

We constantly have passersby comment on the quality of the stonework done by JVS. Working with JVS was a very positive experience, and we unreservedly recommend JVS for any stonework.”

Jason was recommended to us by Alex Dalglish, Landscape Architect, from “Somewhere” following a garden re-design for our 100 year old garden.
We were thrilled with the quality of Jason’s work; his design skills are outstanding. We are very satisfied with all the stone work  in our garden. Jason and Alex worked  collaboratively which made the whole job so much easier and our garden is now a lovely extension of our home and living space.
